College Board Rallies for Students in Washington

    NEWPORT BEACH, CA, June 23, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tourists visiting our capitals national monuments and museums were in for a surprise Wednesday. A stunning 857 school desks were arranged, all nicely aligned into what looked like endless rows of abanded schools desks near the Washington Monument.

The display was set up to represent the 857 students who drop out of high school every hour, every single school day. A huge effort was made by College Board, the organization who arranged the massive effort required to make this display possible. College Board hopes that their display will influence the presidential candidate's decisions regarding education and ultimately put educational needs of our country at the top of their to-do lists.

During the display, nearly a dozen dedicated people stood in 100-degree heat, holding iPads to gather signatures for a petition. Their efforts were able to gather over 22,000 signatures by Wednesday evening.

College Board is calling the education campaign "Don't Forget Ed!" The display is officially College Boards first venture into politics.

The mastermind responsible for executing the display is Adam Hollander, 38, who is the Executive Creative producer at Company Brand Marketers. The display was shipped on Tuesday by four big rig trucks and required 50 people to unload and arrange the desks.
