NORCROSS, GA, June 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- J. Martinez & Company, coffee merchants and roasters, are very pleased to announce the addition of a third estate coffee from the famous Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee region. This third estate coffee is from RSW Estates, a partnership of three small family-owned properties - Resource Coffee Farm, Sherwood Forest, and Whitfield Farm. These venerable properties have been producing coffee since the late 1700's.
The coffee beans from these farms are exceptional. Generally, these proprietors have less land under cultivation than they once did at the peak of production of these estates; trees are now concentrated only in prime growing locations. The high altitudes of these particular farms in the Jamaica Blue Mountains mean longer maturation and some of the latest harvests in the region, giving the beans time to develop exceptional flavor.
The RSW Estates Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is processed by Sherwood Coffee Works, which processes exclusively the coffee from the three farms. The coffee works use the traditional fermentation method of removing mucilage, sun dry the coffee, and use state of the art equipment to maintain the coffee at the proper temperature and humidity prior to export.
This third estate coffee from the Jamaican Blue Mountains makes J. Martinez & Company unique in offering not just one 100% certified Jamaica Blue Mountain estate coffee, but three. In addition to the RSW Estates, J. Martinez & Company, a specialty coffee roaster, offers Wallenford Estate and Clifton Mount Estate.
