\"World BBQ Magazine\" and \"British BBQ Magazine\" merge to create \"BBQ\"

BBQ Magazine creates an international seamless brand to showcase American Heritage, Country Music and lifestyle along with international cusine.



    /24-7PressRelease.com/ - Washington, January 19, 2005 -- World BBQ Magazine has merged with British BBQ Magazine and created "BBQ" to provide a clear and seamless international brand covering American Heritage, outdoor entertaining, lifestyle and of course the competition barbecue circuit.

"The audience wanted a single voice and we found there was no conflict with using just "BBQ" as our title, giving us a better international branding." explained Alan Simpson, the Managing Editor of the new publication. "The interest in American Heritage is strong internationally, and new flavors and techniques from Europe and the Far East are being sought by cooks in the United States. The new title enables us to satisfy each audience"

The response to the new magazine has been overwhelming and on the web we have seen over 250,000 downloads of the original news release, with over two hundred web sites carrying the news release in full.

Production is under way for the companion radio and CD program "Bands 'n' BBQ" and this is providing a wealth of new material for the magazine. Major country and Americana music stars will be featured in the magazine and many existing television programs are partnering with "BBQ" to extend their reach, and provide a print copy of their program lineup for their audiences.
