/24-7PressRelease/ - PARKESBURG, PA, May 27, 2007 - Mind-N-Magick.com announced on Wednesday that Alexa.com, the internet's largest web information and statistics company, had rated the website as the number one most trafficked website in their 'Pagan' category. Mind-N-Magick had been listed as the most visited 'Pagan Search Engine & Directory' for the last several years and was within the top three ranked sites in the 'Pagan' category. This new ranking places the website ahead of Witchvox that had held the 'most visited' ranking for the last five years. What makes Mind-N-Magick's rating even more impressive is that they are in the top 50,000 websites visited worldwide and the top 7,300 sites in the United States.
Timothy Jay Alexander, the website's owner, credits the site's success to their mission, which states, "It is the result of our desire to aid in creating an atmosphere which offers better communication between the many Occult, Pagan, Mystical and Magickal schools of thought (both Eastern and Western) in existence today."
"Wicca's popularity places it at the forefront of any discussion about the Pagan Community. One of the goals of Mind-N-Magick was not to alienate other groups that do not fit into the mold of being 'earth-centered' or those that did not practice magick," said Mr. Alexander. "I am, personally, a practitioner of Hellenismos which is a Reconstructionist religion. I understand about being a minority within a minority."
One will also find, if they visit the Mind-N-Magick.com Pagan Forums, a very active group of loyal members. "[Mind-N-Magick's] forum is one of the best places for newcomers to actually be able to identify what path might suit them since there are so many religions here," stated Astalon, a Senior Member of Mind-N-Magick's online community from New Zealand. "People here are intelligent, knowledgeable, tolerant and yet not buying everything thrown at them," remarked Marcellus, a senior forum member from Sweden.
Mind-N-Magick began as an online metaphysical shop in 2002. Today, it has grown to become one of the largest Pagan websites, and also provides many free services to the Online Pagan Community. The many services include the search engine and directory, an online community forum, a free banner exchange (which will soon have served over four million banners), and the Paganpedia (a free online Pagan encyclopedia). Their online store has since become associated with Amazon.com, having the online retailer process all orders.
Timothy Jay Alexander, owner, was raised as a Roman Catholic but has been a practicing Pagan since 1985. He began his spiritual journey as a Solitary Wiccan, but found the religion did not truly reflect his spiritual beliefs. Beginning in 1991, Timothy started to self-identify as an Eclectic Pagan until in 2001, when he found his true spiritual path as a Hellenic Polytheistic Reconstructionist. Timothy holds ordinations with both the Universal Life Church and the Church of Spiritual Humanism. He operates Alexander Ministries, a collection of ordained clergy providing services to those from minority religions and others in need of interfaith or customized ritual officiating. He is the author of "Hellenismos Today," an introduction into Hellenic Polytheistic Reconstructionism.
Mind-N-Magick.com is one of the largest and the most popular Pagan website on the net.
