Rising Point Solutions, LLC Announces Special Military Program & Essay Contest

    GRAPEVINE, TX, July 04, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The staff at Rising Point has offered a special military discount on their credit restoration program for some time, but when Director of Marketing, Carolyn Clark, was scrolling through Facebook recently, she saw a re-post from a military veteran that struck a chord. It was a photo of spray-painted lettering on a garage door: "Foreclosed! 3 tours in Iraq but no bailout for people like me."

One of the Dallas-Fort Worth Account Executives, Kelly Stone, saw the re-post as well, and they both agreed that something could be done by the company for military service personnel to assist with credit issues.

After brainstorming for a several days, the Rising Point staff decided to announce an essay contest for any active or recently inactive soldiers who have served in the U.S. military overseas. The result will be two-fold: The winning submission will receive a free credit restoration program good for up to one year in order to help the soldiers' family to get back on their feet. The stories gathered from the essays will be presented to local mortgage and real estate associations to request additional professional assistance in navigating home purchase and financial issues. The essays will be 1,000 words or less describing their experience, why they should be chosen, and what they plan to do after their program is completed.

"We send our young men and women overseas for years so they can protect us and preserve our way of life," says Stone. "We should be doing so much more to protect their way of life when they get back home." Clark agrees and adds, "We know all too well that your credit isn't going to be in the front of your mind when you're halfway across the planet and risking your life. We want to do everything we can to make coming home and getting re-established as smooth as possible for our people in the military."
