She credits her success to her wonderful Latin parents, for providing her with a "musically infused" home, complete with a wide scope of musical influences ranging from Sinatra, Ella, Streisand, to Tito Puente and the fabulous Celia Cruz. Other favorites who have influenced her passion throughout her career are The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Motown, Doobie Brothers & Carole King.

She also attributes her success to her perseverance, attention to detail, her true love of music and song, and her ability to work with different personalities and cultures.
