Author Bob Miller Writes Blog Featuring Debates With Eleanor Goold

    LAUDERHILL, FL, July 10, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Author Bob Miller, better known perhaps for his action-packed stories, has launched a blog with Eleanor Goold, featuring a series of 'She Said...He Said...' style articles and debates. The title may strike you as being incorrect with She Said first, but then you haven't debated Eleanor Goold.

"War might be an understatement when an opinionated, meat-eating, retired military male like me suddenly finds an opinionated, vegan, pacifist female like Eleanor Goold blocking his path," says Miller.

Certainly, these two have strong opinions and apparently very little common ground, debating issues from meat eating to celebrating the Fourth of July with fireworks. Miller's blog makes for some fascinating reading as he and Goold comment on a number of controversial subjects.

Disagreements between vegans and meat eaters are common. In this instance, Goold gives a well-crafted account of her views - and the reasons for them. A true animal lover and intelligent writer, Goold pulls no punches, believing that it is incumbent on us to treat other species with respect and providing a strong argument against cruel farming methods and a diet of 'stuff that tastes like rotting animal flesh'. Miller responds by commenting on the hypocrisy of complaining about the slaughter of animals when he, among others, participated in the government-sanctioned slaughter of humans during the Vietnam War.

On the subject of fireworks, Goold avoids them due to the injuries that seem to accompany every Fourth of July and the terrifying effects on animals. Miller, it seems, also avoids them - but in his case because he prefers to donate his money to an atheist rather than watching it go up in smoke. This segues nicely into an interesting post, 'Atheism is about responsibility.' Miller cites horrors committed in the name of religion, 9/11 for example, and what he sees as the hypocrisy of organized religion.

Whatever your opinion may be on any of the above-mentioned issues, one thing is certain. Miller's 'She Said...He Said...' blog will give you pause for thought and encourage a strong response.
