    SINGAPORE, July 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr Seuss's classic children's book The Cat in the Hat is set to be transported to the stage in Singapore by the Little Theatre Company (LTC).

Published in 1957, the book is the first to feature the title character, a mischievous cat who attempts to entertain two children by performing a series of bizarre tricks.

More than 11 million copies of The Cat in the Hat have been printed and the book has been translated into several languages, including Latin and Yiddish.

The story has been developed into a witty family-friendly play by the National Theatre of Great Britain, with this version set to be reproduced by the LTC at Singapore's DBS Arts Centre from Wednesday August 22nd to Sunday September 30th.

General admission tickets cost S$38 (GBP19), while for an extra S$10, attendees can get their picture taken with the cast after the show.

Performances will start at 10:00 and 12:30 local time from Tuesdays to Fridays, 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00 on Saturdays and 11:00 and 14:00 on Sundays.
