StoutKart Adds 2nd Man to its One Man Auger.

ONTARIO, OR - 5 June 2007 - StoutKart, LLC announced today that it will productize and make available to the general use an accessory that would allow a 2nd person to participate in using the SK500 BackSaver Auger family.

"While investigating a solution for a customer, it became apparent that allowing the hydraulic motor to be detached from the Control Arm was essential ", said Jim Stout, President. "However the torque produced by the SK500 BackSaver Auger is too great for one man to use safely". The solution would be to add an attachable 2nd set of handles to allow another person to serve as the anchor.

One person would control the forward and reverse rotation and the other person, using the longer handles would serve as the anchor. By attaching the 2nd Man Handle Kit and longer optional hydraulic hoses a two-person team can expand the working area from a 6ft radius semi-circle in front of the kart...to over 20ft full circle radius all around the kart. "Not only expanding the immediate work area, but also allowing tremendous flexibility at the job site. For the first time, a contractor can get the full power of the SK500 BackSaver Auger in areas that only mediocre hand tools could be used before," stated Olen Whitson, V.P. Sales and Marketing. "Thus allowing small trees and shrubs to be planted, and fences to be built with the least amount of harm to the customer's landscape".

During the field trials, not only did the users praise Jim's new attachment, but in some difficult terrain... leaving the auger head attached to the Control Arm while using the 2nd man handles really made boring and removal of the auger bit from the newly formed hole easy... due to integrated lift assist mechanism (LAM) to lessen the head weight. "You have to face it... some holes will be difficult, some requiring more downward pressure to dig, and others the auger bit gets bound in roots, rocks and who knows what other landfill materials are buried where you need a hole drilled... and the 2nd man handles allows a second person to lend a hand, and do so safely," said Olen Whitson.
