TUCKER, GA, July 25, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cobb County, Georgia Police Department took delivery of 187 Rocket wireless vehicle routers on June 13, 2012. These wireless routers are continuing to be installed in all Cobb County Police cars over the next month, and will provide 4G Connectivity on the Verizon 4G network for all Cobb County police vehicles.

"We took delivery of the Rockets recently," stated Lt. Stuart VanHoozer with the Cobb County Police Department. "I found everything to be in order and delivered as promised. Overall, to this point, this transaction has gone well and I look forward to an ongoing positive relationship with Utility."

"The Rocket hardware will provide 4G wireless data WiFi access in and around Cobb Police vehicles," continued Lt. VanHoozer. "Police Dispatchers and Supervisors will have better real time information to dispatch vehicles and reduce 911 call response times."

Combined with Digital Ally videocam systems, the Rockets will provide ultra high-speed wireless upload of videocam data files from police cars in Cobb police station parking lots. The video data will be uploaded to Cobb's centralized video storage servers securely and with a proven chain of custody. Rockets in multiple Cobb County police cars can simultaneously upload gigabyte videocam data files to a specialized Rocket Access Point in less than two minutes. The Rockets will also allow Cobb County to centrally administer the Digital Ally video cameras, improving reliability while reducing administrative support time. High-speed Video upload will reduce administrative time, and increase the amount of time officers can spend on the streets protecting and serving Cobb County citizens.
