CHICAGO, IL, August 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Grand, President of Hoodz of North Side Chicago, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who as a VIP Member for showing dedication, leadership, ambition, and excellence in business management.
Mr. Grand has amassed a wealth of professional experience over the past 14 years, and at present, he strives for excellence at the helm of a commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company that provides complete hood system cleaning and ancillary services, as well as delivers expertise and education to all customers regarding NFPA-96 fire code compliance and best fire safety practices. As president, he is primarily responsible for acquiring new accounts and keeping costs down for customers while providing a high quality job in complete compliance with local code. In addition, Mr. Grand is principly in charge of networking in the community, drafting and negotiating contracts, human resources, budgeting and maximizing profits, and overseeing the production of reports after jobs are completed. Mr. Grand is even certified to assist the technicians in their work responsibilities as needed.
Mr. Grand is an attorney of 12 years who decided to switch industries and start his own franchised business. He has garnered a reputation of distinction for establishing Hoodz of North Side Chicago, which has been rapidly growing on the northside of Chicago since its inception in September 2011 and which reached profitability after only 9 months. He attributes his success to his experience in corporate America, a solid and comprehensive college and legal education, and well-rounded business savvy. He became involved in his profession after studying different business concepts and interviewing several individuals across different industries. He was attracted to the notion that hood cleaning is a repeat business in a niche where providing outstanding service is the exception and not the norm. In addition, in a country that experiences approximately 6,000 commercial kitchen exhaust related fires each year, the difference between great service and poor service can truly be one of saving lives and preserving property. Mr. Grand's philosophy has been quite simple; if his company does an outstanding job each time they take on a project, the sales will return every 3 to 6 months without exception. In the first 10 months of operation, they are proud to say that they have seen most of their customers 2 and 3 times and have not lost one.
Mr. Grand received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a JD in Real Estate from The John Marshall Law School. He intends to expand his business beyond the northern Chicago area in the near future.
