SAN DIEGO, CA, August 17, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC), a nationally recognized non-profit focusing on identity theft and related issues, has just launched a survey to discover the habits of consumers using public wireless Internet connections (public WiFi). The ITRC is conducting this survey in order to better understand the best ways to help consumers protect themselves while online and on the go.
"The ability to connect to the Internet is an integral part of many individuals daily life. This has led to the increased demand for public WiFi," says Nikki Junker, Social Media Coordinator for the ITRC. "This study will help us understand where consumers may be putting themselves at risk and assist them, accordingly."
To participate in the survey just visit the ITRC's Facebook Page or Click here to take the survey directly. The survey will run from August 7, 2012 through August 31, 2012. The survey results will be released on the ITRC website shortly thereafter.
