PORTLAND, OR, August 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Costume Kingdom, a prime destination for special occasion costumes, recently donated twenty-five costumes to disadvantaged children at the Boys & Girls Club in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, Ore. The costumes, holding a retail value of $825, were dramatically presented to the children on the first day of Movie Making Camp, inspiring creativity and prompting imagination.
"Every child should experience the sensation of receiving a new costume, whether for a play, Halloween, or for dress up," said Tamir Nadborny, President of Costume Kingdom. "Making kids happy is what my business is all about, so I am excited to be able to give this experience to children at the Boys & Girls Club."
The twenty-five costumes were rolled in on a cart and presented to the kids (ranging in ages from 6-12) in a dramatic surprise. The children were eager to try on the costumes and begin sketching ideas for their movies right away.
"My favorite costume is the penguin," said Camryn Reeves, a ten year old girl who attended the Movie Making Camp. "I'm excited to use the costumes in the movie my friends and I make."
Costume Kingdom's main goal is to make a difference in kids' lives. All private donations and grants received by the Boys & Girls Clubs go toward the basics, such as staffing, maintenance, food and electricity -- leaving little resources for extras that make a camp truly special and memorable in a child's mind.
For more than 10 years, Costume Kingdom has been a prime destination for Halloween and other special occasion costumes. With unbeatable prices and customer service that's second-to-none, Costume Kingdom offers thousands of choices in newborn to adult sizes, from classic favorites like Spiderman, Disney Princesses and Star Wars characters, to pop-culture icons
like LMFAO DJ Redfoo, Angry Birds and Lady Gaga.
