PICTON, ON, CANADA, August 24, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandra Bradley, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sandra D'Angelo Enterprises Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in spiritual healing.
Sandra Bradley, nee Wright, was born in a small remote community in Northern Ontario, Canada. At the age of four she realized that the world she knew was a little different than most. She could 'see' energy, 'read' and 'feel' the emotions of those around her and was often aware of 'others' not quite in our perceived energy field.
At 12 years of age, she convinced her parents to send her to boarding school. In less than three years Sandra graduated completing her senior matriculation. At age 16 she was hired as an elementary school teacher. At 17 she entered a missionary order intending to become a medical doctor and work in the Belgium Congo. She left the convent at 19 and continued to attend the University of Ottawa.
While at university she married, worked, went to classes and had 5 children in seven years. Ten years later Sandra divorced and found herself a single parent with no support.
Sandra was in a hurry. Life had so much to offer and so many things she wanted to do. Whatever she became involved with she excelled. Nothing held her interest too long except her family, to which she was devoted.
Teacher, always a student, recruiting officer for the Federal Government, media relations officer, consultant, radio & television host, psychotherapist, politician, entrepreneur, counselor, teacher of yoga, meditation & spirituality, guest lecturer, retreat facilitator, psychic, healer, artist, writer, chef, gardener, world traveler, wife, mother and grandmother.
In the early 1970's Sandra studied yoga with Swami Vishnu Devenanda at The Sivananda Yoga Center on Paradise Island, Bahamas. She later embraced Mindful Meditation which she continues to practice today. The Metta Meditation "May all beings be happy, may all beings be free" resonated with her personality and spiritual energy.
While living in Ottawa she initiated and facilitated a weekly World Peace Meditation and later founded The Institute of Comparative Human Thought and Science. In the mid 1970's she worked with Dr. Andrija Puharich as a Remote Viewer, Channeler, Medium and Healer and later became the founder and director of the International School for Spiritual Healers. In the late 1970's she and her children moved to Twin Valley's School, an alternative to the penal system for young offenders, where she lived and worked as a volunteer. She then moved to Edmonton, Alberta and was the co-founder of Barnabas Center, a refuge and learning center for street youth.
Sandra was hired as a Media Relations Officer and then she became involved in radio and television. In the early 1980's Sandra was nominated as the liberal member for Edmonton Strathcona. She ran federally for the Liberal party of Canada in 1984.
In the late 1980's Sandra and her now 7 children moved to Victoria, B.C. In 1990 she volunteered to be the Canadian Coordinator for Earth Day Canada. The following year she was hired as the Executive Director of the Victoria Native Friendship Center. Within a year she increased their funding by 300%. An automobile accident in 1992 grounded her for over a year.
Sandra returned to her passion and opened a full and active practice as an intuitive therapist, healer, spiritual/life coach, seminar facilitator, yoga & meditation teacher, retreat master, guest lecturer and hosted A Course in Miracles weekly in her home for over 20 years.
When Sandra co-hosted the International Summer Solstice in Northern Canada, Dr. Doreen Virtue (Hay House) turned to her and exclaimed "You're the real thing!"
In the mid 2000's she returned to Ontario to live closer to her 90+ mother who still maintains her own home. Sandra and her husband Robert reside in Prince Edward County where she wrote her first book entitled, 'How to Save the World and Still Be Home for Dinner: A Day in the Life of an Awakening Mind,' under the name of D'Angelo, her mother's maiden name.
The book had made itself known in Sandra's mind over a decade ago and she finally stopped long enough to give it a life of its own. Sandra's life course has taken her on diverse healing journeys of profound spiritual transformations which she generously shares with others along the way. She now feels an urgency to awaken in others what they already know as we find ourselves collectively living once more in very interesting times.
Sandra now travels extensively in semi-retirement with her husband Robert. When in residence she is an active gardener, painter, writer and participant in her children and grandchildren's lives.
'Sandra articulates possibility and hope. She simplifies the teachings of ancient masters and quantum mechanics - a manifesto for the continuance of human evolution. An ode - and even a bit of a passport - to living a mindful life. D'Angelo is a force for good. Guidance in that direction should never go begging.'
