Mr. Entz studied at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, earning in 2008 a designation of level 3 Journeyman Rig Technician. A member of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, Mr. Entz is a two-time recipient of the organization's Outstanding Performance Award and has also been honored as a Dale Carnegie Human Relations Champion.

Away from the demands of his work, Mr. Entz enjoys traveling, fishing and playing golf. Just as concerned about safety in his own community as he is on the job, he avidly supports STARS, a nonprofit organization that provides helicopter ambulance services to the critically ill and injured throughout central Canada.
