Anton & Chia, LLP announced today that it has appointed Robert A. Aleshire as its Tax Managing Partner and Anton & Chia, LLP and Aleshire Accountancy Corporation has effectuated a merger of its mutual practices as of September 4, 2012. Mr. Aleshire has over 20 years of personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory experience in industries of financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, real estate development, real estate investment, retail, and software development.

Robert most recently served as President of Aleshire Accountancy Corporation in San Diego. Robert began his career in 1992 with Considine & Considine in San Diego and joined Pricewaterhouse Coopers in 2001 where he worked as Middle Market Tax Manager. After leaving Pricewaterhouse Coopers Robert joined a private billion dollar corporation in the financial services industry as the Tax Director and left in 2008 to found and operate his tax practice in the San Diego area. Robert's experience includes tax services for all business entities, exempt organizations, estates/trusts and individuals. Other related services include structuring of business entities, tax planning and strategic financial planning in conjunction with financial planners, business consulting and audit defense. His experience as the Tax Director for a billion dollar corporation in the financial services industry included structured financing and strategic planning related to mortgage banking securitizations and providing audit defense in front of the IRS and related state tax reporting agencies.
