OCOEE, FL, September 10, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara Boudokhane has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in photography.
Barbara Boudokhane is an active member of her community in Ocoee, Florida. She is an ex board member of the City of Ocoee Human Relations Diversity Board (HRDB) and proudly served as Chairman of The HRDB Annual Black History Month Essay Contest in February 2012. The contest, which was open to students in 11 or so elementary and middle schools, garnered 205 essays with the inspirational theme of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech. Ms. Boudokhane's picture was featured in the West Orange Times in the presence of the Chairman of the HRDB, W. Maxwell, the Mayor of the City of Ocoee, Scott VanderGrift, other board members and the Grand Prize Essay Winner. Most recently, she was asked to be a judge for the City of Ocoee Concert, which will be held in Fall 2012. She will also be exhibiting her sunset pictures and others at Starke Lake, Ocoee at the Mount Dora Art Festival in November 2012, and has been asked by Paul James Peter, artist and President of the Mount Dora Artistic Committee, to join their Board as of September 2012.
Ms. Boudokhane also volunteers at St. Andrew Catholic Church in researching "The Voice of the Poor" issues dealt with on a day to day basis by the St. Vincent de Paul outreach program. She works in close conjunction with the President of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Andrew Catholic Church under the Catholic Diocese of Orlando.
Ms. Boudokhane' Associate Degree in Film Production Technology from Valencia Community College in Orlando, Fla., was earned in 2004. Unfortunately due to family disability circumstances, she was unable to practice in this field aside from the work she completed on movies, television shows and commercials with Director/Producer Ralph Clemente, who was Valencia Community College's Film Technology Director during her two-year degree program. She worked on the movie "Varley's Game."
Ms. Boudokhane's real passion is photography. She has published and exhibited many works in Brussels, Belgium. Notably, she had a One Woman Photography Exhibit in 1984 entitled "Impressions of Ireland" at the Nuances Galerie d'Art which was presented in a cibachchrome format. In 1982, she received an Administrative Achievement Award from IBM. Ms. Boudokhane is only 30 credits short of her Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management at Phoenix University, and is planning to complete her degree as of September 2013.
