Worker Bees Tired Of Supporting Corporate Giant--EBay

"Not good for the sellers, the buyers or eBay-we all lose," said Eileen Szydlowski an eBay Seller from Pennsylvania. "We the sellers and buyers made the company into what it is today. We have the same power to leave and leave eBay as just a memory from the past."

EBay fee changes include a 40% increase in its Gallery fee, up to a five fold increase to use the Buy it Now feature, and a 52% increase in commissions charged on eBay Store sales. Overall, members of the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance (PESA) are reporting that they will pay up to 22% more to eBay than before the increase.

According to Eric Hellweg, CNN/Money contributing columnist, eBay, long thought to be immortal is, in fact a mortal company.

"EBay has enjoyed what they considered to be an immortal status for years," said Chris Fain, Founder and CEO of OnlineAuction.com. "Every good business person knows there's no such thing as immortality."

Based on these results an eBay Boycott-No Listing Day--is scheduled to begin on the day eBay's increase in fees goes into effect. The boycott will run for seven days straight from February 18 through February 25.
