LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND, September 24, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The number of people who take part in sessions with the business game SimulTrain has grown by 60% annually over the past three years to reach a staggering 17,000 participants. SimulTrain is a computer-based multimedia tool that simulates the planning and execution phases of a medium-sized project, thus allowing participants to learn how to structure a project, how to control its progress, and how to use project management tools.
The SimulTrain simulator trains project management-related technical and behavioral competencies and has four categories of users: business school students, project participants, project managers, and project sponsors/top management. When using SimulTrain , participants work in groups of four people on each simulator. They learn in three ways: 1) from the simulation itself (whenever the groups make a decision, the simulated people involved in the project will react and offer feedback); 2) from the inevitable interactions among their four-person group; and 3) from debriefing and analysis with the coach.
