Juneau Alaska, July 11, 2007 -- Evolving from a heritage in timber industry in Hobart Bay, Alaska, an Alaskan-owned Native Corporation, Goldbelt Inc., has recently established Goldbelt Government Services Group (GGSG). Goldbelt Government Services Group will manage the growth of Goldbelt's small business subsidiaries which primarily support the state and federal sectors. Goldbelt Government Services Group will be located in Oaks, Pennsylvania which will allow for more centralized access to the subsidiaries and the major client sites which are located in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Mr. Joseph T. LoCasale, P.E., the newly appointed vice president of Goldbelt Government Services Group, and former president of Goldbelt Eagle, LLC says "we are not merging the subsidiaries, but are utilizing the skills and experience of Goldbelt's senior executives to mentor the subsidiaries to help capture new and more challenging contracts."
Goldbelt Government Services Group will coordinate business strategy for Goldbelt's 8(a) subsidiaries. The primary business of these 8(a) subsidiaries include facilities management ,construction, vehicle and IT equipment leasing, military training, personnel placement, logistical support and aerospace engineering. Current federal clients include the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, and NASA amongst other federal and state agencies. Doing business with Goldbelt has allowed for government clients to acquire services at a fair price while providing streamlined procurement mechanisms through which clients can gain prompt award of a sole source contract without dollar limitation.
Mr. William J. (Jack) Silvey was recently appointed president of one of the fastest growing subsidiaries, Goldbelt Eagle.
