HAUPPAUGE, NY, October 09, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, and a powerful force and economic engine for regional development for over 30 years, is proud to announce its 4th Annual Energy and Environmental Conference to be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 8 AM - 2:30 PM at YMCA, 225 W. Main Street in Patchogue NY. To register for the event and obtain more information, visit http://www.hia-li.org/calendarDetails.cfm?eventID=1717 or call 631-543-5355.
The event will bring together industry experts, senior executives, thought leaders and business owners from across Long Island to discuss energy-efficient solutions, trends and initiatives that are vital for local economic growth.
The goal of the conference is to challenge and inspire local business communities to adapt to the shifting economic landscape, embrace best environmental practices and prepare for green-energy future. As energy-related issues have reached new levels of importance, the annual event will provide a great platform for attendees to learn about the latest challenges and opportunities in the energy sector and find new ways to leverage alternative energy resources. In addition, participants will gain direct insight into "The Hauppauge Industrial Park Energy Conservation Project," designed to measure and reduce overall energy consumption in one of the largest industrial parks in the nation with more than 1,300 companies employing 55,000 people in manufacturing, construction and services industries by at least 15 percent.
"The upcoming conference is a crucial and timely forum providing new perspectives into the future of the regional energy sector," says Terri Alessi-Miceli, HIA-LI president. "We believe our conference will serve as an avenue for robust exchange of information on scientific developments, technological advances, and a wide variety of environmental initiatives.
