HAMILTON, ON, October 29, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Women's fitness expert and model Flavia Del Monte has recently been elevated to the level of cover model once again. Having already been on the cover of Fitness-X magazine, Flavia has added her second cover appearance on the September, 2012, Powerhouse Gym Magazine cover.
To get ready for her photo shoot, Flavia dedicated 8 full weeks of training and careful nutrition to reach her physical peak at the perfect moment.
"Getting ready for a photoshoot is both exciting and exhausting all at the same time," says Flavia Del Monte. "Spending an extra hour in the gym each day some say is insanity. I say it's the secret to success. My routine started with 30 minutes of interval training either outdoors or in the gym. I would use anything, stairs, treadmill, elliptical, tracks, anything that I could push hard for one minute and slow right down the next. At night I hit the weights hard and with intention. My trainer Ryan Watson pushed me to the limits every day, 6 days a week. My workouts started with 10 minutes of brutal abdominal training, followed by specific body part training. Having a trainer really helps when you are tired and sometimes not motivated. I always took the time to stretch and re-hydrate after each workout. Each week I would add a little more to my workouts, either an extra cardio interval or another set to push myself. After 8 weeks I was ready! Doing the impossible only works when you believe in yourself and the mission."
"I am honored to be on the cover of Powerhouse Magazine. I spent a lot of time at the downtown Powerhouse gym in Tampa, Florida getting ready for this shoot. I love this gym, they use really great equipment which makes things easier for getting in shape. I had a great trainer and close friends to turn to for support."
John Rowley from Powerhouse Gym said, "There was only one choice that came to mind when choosing our current cover model, Flavia Del Monte! Flavia exemplifies the Powerhouse Gym philosophy of having integrity in and out of the gym. Flavia looks incredible but more importantly she is an incredible person. Hard working, helpful, caring in the gym at the office and in person. Thank you Flavia for giving us the honor or having you on the cover of Powerhouse Gym Magazine!"
John Lepak, Editor in Chief Powerhouse Gym The Magazine added, "Flavia was the obvious selection based on what she represents to people around the world. We felt that her incredible combination of passion, dedication, hard work and standards were so much in line with what the Powerhouse Brand is really about, Serious Fitness for everyone!"
Flavia's background as a Registered Nurse and PN Certified nutritionist has allowed her to create healthy weight loss and muscle building programs specifically designed to target the problems and needs faced by women that are not always met by generic diet and exercise programs. Her experience and skill led her to create Flavilicious Fitness, a program design to get women fit, and her new program Curvalicious, design to help women earn those curves while staying feminine and trim.
"My mission is to help women say, I love my body. I want women to feel good about themselves, love themselves and be the best version of themselves. For me, changing my body empowered me to change other aspects of my life. I can do all things through Him that gives me strength", said Flavia.
