Covington Who's Who Selects Thomas S. Borgioli as a Featured Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Borgioli, Owner and Chief Technologist of Laboratory Consultants, has been selected as a Featured Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. Mr. Borgioli, who holds a BS in Biology from the University of Hawaii and an MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, is a certified histo-technician and medical technologist who founded his organization in 2007.

Consulting with non-laboratory associated organizations to prepare them procedure manuals, control logs, maintenance programs, safety training, instrument training, competency testing, and updates from manufactures pertaining to the appropriate equipment needed, Mr. Borgioli also oversees staffing requirements and budgetary allowances to initiate, operate, and maintain the waived testing required.

Having worked in all major disciplines of the clinical laboratory, Mr. Borgioli's employment experience includes laboratory shipping clerk, medical laboratory technician and technologist, supervisor, and laboratory manager. But the founding role that led him into the field began in 1969 during his time served in the US Army where he was placed in a hospital laboratory in Okinawa.

"Originally introduced to the laboratory field during the Vietnam era, I discovered that there were other parts of medicine that didn't require a medical or nursing degree," Mr. Borgioli explained. "From there it was a love affair with the sciences."

Mr. Borgioli is a member of the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science and has held numerous boards of director positions within their state affiliate in Hawaii. He is presently a laboratory inspector trained by the College of American Pathologists and has participated in numerous inspection teams during local hospital laboratory accreditation inspections.
