Applied Comfort Products Introduces Replacement for McQuay EA/MEA/PMES

    LOUISVILLE, KY, November 26, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The new Applied Comfort EA 44" PTAC is based on the original McQuay EA design, and is a direct replacement that requires no modification or additional accessories. The unit is currently available in cooling with electric strip heat, as well as cooling with hydronic heat. A heat pump version is currently in development. "Applied Comfort Products did an excellent job in designing the EA to be as close to original as possible, while increasing efficiency and performance" states Greg McNary, General Manager for Air Distributors. The performance and efficiency of the Applied Comfort EA has been verified by a third party testing laboratory. McNary adds "this is a premium unit at an affordable price". Current configurations for the Applied Comfort EA include 9000, 12000, and 15000 BTU cooling, with 15, 20, 30 amp electric strip heat, or hydronic heat. Voltages available are 208/230 or 265. There is also a 115 volt version with no heat. All units are certified for use in the US and Canada by CSA-Canada/US. In addition to replacing the McQuay EA/MEA/PMES, the EA will also replace the following units:
