LONDON, ENGLAND, November 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The sister company of WhatNewHomes, 'What House?', hosted another successful awards ceremony recently, on Friday 16th November. The awards, which were hosted by actor James Nesbitt, were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in one of the most prestigious areas of London.
The awards featured more than 20 different categories and was attended by nearly 1400 professionals from the UK property industry. The most prestigious award of the night, the 'What House? Housebuilder of the Year' was won by CALA Homes. According to Rupert Bates, editorial director of whathouse.co.uk, "The standard this year across all categories has been arguably the best in the 31-year history of these coveted award. The very best of housebuilding was on show. We would like to thank all the housebuilders, suppliers and other industry colleagues who have once again supported this great event."
In other notable categories, Linden Homes took the award for Best Large Housebuilder, Barrat Homes took home the honour for Sustainable Developer of the Year, and the McGinnis Group won the award for Best Starter Home. It would seem that, despite current economic conditions, the UK property industry still has a lot to celebrate and a good deal to be optimistic about.
