MOON TOWNSHIP, PA, December 07, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Aircraft Management Group, Inc. has received approval from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to operate flights to and from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) departing from any DCA Access facility effective December 3, 2012.
Following the events of September 11, 2001, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) restricted all general aviation operations at DCA and created a comprehensive security plan to maintain the safety and security of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and the US government assets contained within. Subsequently, the DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) was established and allows for a maximum of 48 general aviation flights in and out of DCA daily.
As a TSA approved operator, Aircraft Management Group may now offer on-demand charter flights into DCA departing from any DCA Access facility within the requirements of the DASSP. "We are excited to offer our clients the ability to fly into the most convenient airport to Washington, D.C. at only 4 miles to downtown versus 25 miles for Washington Dulles International Airport," said Shannon Pennypacker, Director of Marketing and Sales, AMG Jets, a division of Aircraft Management Group, Inc. "With the addition of DCA access, we increase the value-added services available to our clients and broaden our leadership in business aviation."
