BRIGHTON, ENGLAND, December 14, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barclays is making it easier for customers to manage their statements and log in securely to Online Banking using their Barclays Mobile Banking app.
The app now comes with PINsentry - the security feature that customers use with their debit card to log in to Online Banking. It means they don't have to carry their PINsentry card reader around with them.
Mobile PINsentry can be used to log in to Online Banking, set up new payees, authenticate international payments and register for other Barclays services.
Another new feature allows customers to manage statements using their Barclays Mobile Banking app, including switching from paper to online statements and ordering them in large print or Braille.
The Barclays Mobile Banking app was launched in 2012 and has already been downloaded by more than 800,000 customers who want to do their banking on the go. They can check their balances, view recent transactions, transfer money between their Barclays accounts, make mobile payments to existing payees and find their nearest Barclays branch or ATM.
It's just one in a family of apps that includes Barclays Pingit, which allows people to make mobile payments using just a phone number.
