LONDON, ENGLAND, December 19, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- According to Reuters, Britain's economy will return to modest growth by 1.1% in 2013. "With a slowly growing economy and a very competitive market, it is extremely important that businesses are prepared for the New Year," says Andy Jones, Managing Director at Harvey Wayne Communications, an outsourced sales and marketing company. Jones is an experienced entrepreneur and reveals his top-three checklist which has allowed him to grow his business into three UK offices.
One of the most important things is to look at the figures and run a ROI exercise on the business. "It is crucial to work out the numbers and analyse the company's spending, its activities and the expected return," says Jones at Harvey Wayne Communications. Without knowing the figures it is impossible to be prepared and to set realistic goals for the coming years. "You have to do your homework if you want to remain in business and look to overtake your competitors," adds Jones.
When knowing the figures, it is important to finalise goals, targets and set a budget. Jones recommends company owners to visualise what they want to achieve in 2013, but also what their smart goals are for the next three to five years. He explains: "It is vital to keep medium-term goals in mind in order to determine what needs to be done in the short run in order to hit the medium-term targets." Furthermore, Harvey Wayne Communications sets value on its clients and creates action plans to better understand their needs and objectives.
Jones' third point of his top-three check list is to analyse what has not gone well in 2012. "Looking at the distraction points is very important," he says. "I don't intend to repeat mistakes. Evaluating what did not work this year will help create an action plan to avoid a repeat situation." By strengthen weak points a business can develop in the right direction and hit its growth targets for 2013.
With the New Year approaching, Harvey Wayne Communications is predicting their best year to date. The outsourced sales and marketing company with offices currently in London, Manchester and Leeds, is planning to expand further next year, for the first time into the European market. However, "...being excited about the New Year, we will gain a lot of energy over the festive period in order to power through in 2013," says Jones. Harvey Wayne Communications is ready for an even more successful future.
