Dr. Sharon L. Youmans Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Pharmacology

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 29, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Sharon Youmans, Associate Professor of the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication leadership and excellence in pharmacy and pharmacy education.

With 11 years of experience as a faculty member of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, Dr. Youmans teaches classes focusing on several aspects of health care such as public health, communication, cultural competence, and train students to provide direct patient care. She is responsible for the coordination and administration of the didactic and experiential courses working directly with faculty, students, staff, and patients.

Dr. Youmans received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UCSF in 1985. She is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, the American Public Health Association, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Internationally, Dr. Youmans has been involved in HIV/AIDS and pharmacy education projects in the countries of Tanzania and Malawi, Africa. In the years to come, Dr. Youmans will remain involved in health professions education, but at a higher level.
