1) Firstly, you need the ingredients - a pair of the LYCRA tights and another pair of tights for layering underneath (see our styling tips below for ideas). Then you need really good, sharp scissors - specialist fabric scissors are preferable.

2) The execution is key - we found that it was really important to cut the holes really small and not too close together as they expand to about 4 times their original size. Tweezers are really useful for pinching a tiny piece of the fabric to cut.

3) When it comes to styling them the only limit is your imagination! Experiment with patterns, colours and layers to create hundreds of different looks.
