Bernadette Mestichelli Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Nonprofit Management

    Philadelphia, PA, February 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bernadette Mestichelli has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofit management.

Understanding the importance of a strong educational foundation, Ms. Mestichelli obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, now the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, an MBA in management and operations at the New York Institute of Technology, a Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence certification through the American Society for Quality and a certification as a Medical Technologist through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Ever eager to help others and make a difference, Ms. Mestichelli embarked on a career in health care and quality assurance which spanned two decades. Throughout her extensive career, she has held positions as a quality director, administrative director for laboratory medicine, supervisor of a clinical laboratory, and medical technologist, among others.

In 2010, with nearly 20 years of experience, Ms. Mestichelli assumed the position of Director of Quality Assurance for American Red Cross. The nonprofit organization provides disaster relief and emergency response services to people around the world. In her position, Ms. Mestichelli manages all quality assurance issues and operational performance related to compliance. Proficient in performing strategic quality planning, she also develops and implements continuous improvement activities, works collaboratively with operations and quality at all levels, and ensures regulatory requirements are met. An expert in corrective and preventative action programs, Ms. Mestichelli also provides the staff with coaching and mentoring services.

Recognized as a leader in her industry, Ms. Mestichelli has been acknowledged by her community and industry as an expert resource. In 2010, she was honored with the Red Ribbon Award for Quality from the American Red Cross and in 2012 she was selected as a VIP of the Year in Health Care by Worldwide Who's Who. Ms. Mestichelli feels she can attribute her success to the support she has continually received from her family, as well as hard work, honesty, and perseverance.

Ms. Mestichelli is affiliated with the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the American Society for Quality. She is charitably involved with Historic Cold Springs Village in Cape May, New Jersey. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, biking, taking long drives, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her husband Mario and son Salvatore.
