Concurrency and Microsoft to Hold System Center 2012 SP1 Release Events in Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago

System Center 2012 SP1 offers expanded compatibility with previously unsupported products, plus added support for Windows Server 2012, Windows 8 and SQL Server 2012. System Center now offers additional support for clients on servers running Linux and Unix, as well as Apple. System Center's Data Protection Manager now continuously protects virtual machines when migrated, including those within a cluster or migrations between a Hyper-V cluster and a standalone Hyper-V host server.

In addition, System Center 2012's new Virtual Machine Manager capabilities include extended support for the new VHDX virtual hard disk format, which is the new VHD in Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V. VHDXs can be up to 64TB in size and are optimized for use on physical hard disks with large sector sizes.

System Center Operations Manager capabilities have also been augmented and include the 360 .NET Application Monitoring Dashboards monitor for .NET applications, which give IT administrators an aggregate view of an app's health at various monitoring tiers. Service Pack 1 also includes upgrades to System Center Configuration Manager, including a new ability to generate email alerts based on nearly all the product's features. In addition, Configuration Manager administrators can now benefit from Windows PowerShell technology.
