Commenting usually requires you to insert your name and your blog's own URL, so it creates a link back to your blog every time, which not only helps with your search engine optimization but also increases visibility for your site among the blog's readers.
- Offer giveaways. A great way to gain readers is to reach out to companies whose products you love and request that they sponsor a giveaway for your readers. If, for example, you are a photographer, you could reach out to a small photo printing business and ask that they sponsor a giveaway and offer a free print to one of your readers. You can then request that readers enter the giveaway by taking actions such subscribing to your blog by email and sharing the giveaway on social media.
