    /24-7PressRelease/ - LEXINGTON, KY, September 22, 2007 - Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa has recently invested $20 million in hotel renovation, including the addition of Lexington's Spa at Griffin Gate., a spectacular facility added in June. As part of the hotel renovation, the expansion of its meeting and event spaces are now complete.

Meeting space has been increased to a total of 26,000 square feet of flexible event space -- the most of any hotel in Lexington -- with the addition of the Terrace Atrium and the Terrace Ballroom. The Terrace Atrium feature windows and French doors overlooking the resort grounds and connects to the outdoor patio, perfect for cocktail receptions.

Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa has also added the Paddock tent, a spacious permanent outdoor tent with views of the golf course and pool area. This outdoor venue for up to 550 people is perfect for receptions, dinners and weddings.

Existing space at the hotel includes 21 meeting rooms that allow for a total of 16 breakout meeting rooms. The largest meeting room, the Grand Ballroom has a maximum meeting space of 9,570 square feet and maximum seating capacity of 1,000.
