It's more likely that using good grammar shows care and attention to detail, representing the employee's pride in their work. This is fairly critical, anyone can make poor grammar errors when they are rushing, but it is those employees that take the time to sit and review their work - or have someone review it for them - prior to submitting it who clearly go the extra mile in the workplace - a trait that all employers want their workforce to possess.

Of course, if you are a native English speaker, good grammar is often a sign of intellectual prowess. Additionally, those with good grammar are also people who have good command over the English language, so they tend to be eloquent and well spoken, which are both attractive qualities in someone who is looking to progress in the corporate workplace.
