SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne Thull, owner of Anne Thull Fine Art Designs, is pleased to announce her involvement as the featured artist of the sixth annual Pebble Beach Food and Wine. Anne's beautiful sculptures and art pieces will be featured at various events at the Inn at Spanish Bay throughout the preeminent food and wine weekend. In addition, Anne is creating the exclusive award that includes a custom etched crystal wine goblet with renowned designer Edgar Berebi, which will be presented to Cecilia Chiang at the Tribute Dinner and Grand Finale.
Anne's grapevine sculptures celebrate the culinary and wine theme of the event, while evoking a sense of history for the artist herself. The sculptures pay homage to a precious grapevine cutting that was brought to America by her grandparents and the memories of enjoying the wine it produced during her early childhood years. The limited-edition museum quality bronze sculptures are created with the lost wax method and offer inspiration to all who view them.
Greeting guests at the Opening Night Reception at the Inn at Spanish Bay will be one of Anne's large standing grapevine sculptures. On Friday and Saturday nights, the entrance of the Beach and Tennis Club will showcase a life-sized grapevine sculpture while two columns with dramatically backlit grapevine sculpture sconces, lead guests to their tables. A second sculpture will be featured in the dining room.
A horizontal table sculpture with art glass candle sleeves will be on display at Will Call registration. The art glass candle sleeves were Anne's first patented product in 2007, and were initially created to cover the plastic candles on expensive candelabra light fixtures. Like many of Anne's creations, the candle sleeves are an artistic answer to a designer's problem. At a time when only wax and plastic candles were available on the market, placing them on a chandelier with more than a 25 watt bulb would melt them, but Anne's sleeves provided infinite usage possibilities with a 60 watt bulb that could be dimmed and yet maintain a strong light source or the use of rechargeable battery LEDs.
More of Anne's work will be on display in a strategically positioned booth located between the Lexus Grand Tasting tents. Anne's lost wax method in bronze grapevine sculptures with dramatic LED lighting will be on display. Providing a unique and striking lighting option for ambient lighting in wine cellars, the sculptures are heat-free, ensuring that the precious wines stored in the cellar or pantry areas where they are utilized are unaffected. Anne's grapevine sculptures, furniture pieces, Ceasarstone's concetto stone, art glass candles and other custom works will also entice guests to linger. As a newly designated designer for Caesarstone, her tent will include stunning backlit Ceasarstone displays.
