/24-7PressRelease.com/ - CINCINNATI, Ohio, February 12, 2005—An epic voyage tracing the history of the African Holocaust—the transatlantic slave trade that transported the descendants of today's African-Americans is featured in "Dark Voyage," a new audio book and interactive CD-ROM featuring narration by Andrew Barnes of Cincinnati. "Dark Voyage" adds extensive academic documentation to the myths that surround the history of slavery.
It is part of the comprehensive Afrikan Holocaust multimedia project, in the making since 1999, that addresses the tragedy of slavery with regard to today's global world culture. Needing a distinctive voice with the depth and gravity to tell the "Dark Voyage" story of the forced exodus of thousands of Africans, the acclaimed audio-documentary group Halaqah Media called on Barnes, an accomplished voiceover artist and an African-American.
Barnes has gained national recognition for his voiceover work. With a powerful, effective voice and extensive theatrical experience, he is a compelling storyteller who has brought to life a wide variety of
characters and stories. Recent projects include, in addition to "Dark Voyage," a Ray Charles biography, the Booker T. Washington National Monument multimedia project, a character voice for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and commercials for prominent companies such as Kroger and Key Bank. He is available through his company, The Voiceover Guy LLC (www.thevoiceoverguy.com).
Voice demos and additional information are available at http://www.thevoiceoverguy.com or by calling Mr. Barnes at 877-THE-VGUY (877-843-8489).
