DES MOINES, IA, March 27, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Author Kiko McGregor has just published I'm Christian Too!, a book that explores the latest issues and messages being sold by today's top spiritual leaders.
The book explains why biblical Christians may want to question the teachings of popular celebrities, TV producers, and new-age spiritual leaders such as Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Joel Osteen, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey and Pastor Rick Warren. McGregor also says, "Christians shouldn't willingly accept everything put in front of them that is labeled 'Christian'". McGregor takes a controversial look at some of these teachings, as she also examines the new TV series "The Bible," which is produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey. In McGregor's book, I'm Christian Too!, she also analyzes books like that written by Todd Burpo, a father who tells the story of his 3 year-old son, who went to Heaven and returned to tell his story, which is set to become a movie soon. McGregor's book includes chapters on Near Death Experiences and hell.
McGregor's main concern is Christians willingly accepting all teachings put in front of them, even the trend of merging different religions - Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism.
McGregor posits that "many of today's spiritual leaders are motivated by power and money and that biblical Christians have an obligation to unite and redefine the 'Christian' in Christianity". Her book explores and may answer many questions that Christians have regarding God, Heaven, hell, and the teachings of new-age spiritual leaders.
