Dr. Gary Price Named Top Doctor by U.S. News and Connecticut Magazine

    GUILFORD, CT, March 29, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gary Price, M.D., recently received 2 top doctor recognitions, ranking him among the top Connecticut plastic surgeons. Both honors are based on the recommendation and endorsement of other physicians.

"It's a great honor to be recognized in my field by my peers," says Dr. Price, who specializes in procedures that include facial rejuvenation, abdominoplasty and breast augmentation in Guilford, CT. His first recognition - being named among the "Top Docs" in Connecticut - came from Connecticut Magazine. This is Dr. Price's third time receiving the distinction. Connecticut Magazine finds its Top Docs by sending questionnaires to Connecticut doctors.

Connecticutmag.com says the questionnaire asks the doctors "to recommend a doctor (other than themselves) to whom they would send a loved one for expert medical care." Those who receive the most recommendations are added to the Top Docs list.

Dr. Price was also named to the list of U.S. News Top Doctors. To create this directory of "Top Doctors," U.S. News partnered with New York City-based Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America's Top Doctors and creator of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors.

Like Connecticut Magazine, the U.S. News Top Doctors process is based on peer nominations. The nominees are then reviewed by a physician-directed research group. Doctors cannot apply or nominate themselves. Furthermore, neither physicians nor an employer of a physician can pay to have a doctor added to the list.

"I work hard to provide the best for my patients," says Dr. Price. "Their esteem is what matters the most to me. However, it's very encouraging to know that my peers recognize and appreciate what I do."

Dr. Price specializes in plastic surgery for people from New Haven and other Connecticut communities, as well as those from New York and Rhode Island.

Dr. Gary Price is a board-certified Connecticut plastic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience. He performs a variety of surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures for the face and body. Dr. Price is a former president of the Connecticut State Medical Society, the Connecticut Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He frequently lectures on plastic surgery, and speaks at professional meetings. Dr. Price serves on the board of directors of The Physicians Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of health care.
