How Orthodontic Treatment Works

Modern orthodontic appliances be made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to a corrected position. This is a great time to wear braces! Since Invisalign is nearly invisible, you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. You'll visit our practice about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
