The London 2012 Olympics are Remembered in a Free Museum of London Exhibition

Tom Daley's Union Jack trunks go on display, reports LondonTown.com.

LONDON, ENGLAND, April 04, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reflecting on the euphoric London 2012 Olympic Games, the Museum of London has opened a new exhibition exactly 200 days after the Paralympic Closing Ceremony. The free event displays around 70 objects, costumes and personal accounts from last year's Games, including Tom Daley's memorable Union Jack trunks and Bradley Wiggins' yellow jersey.

A further new opening this week is the Tower Bridge Exhibition: This is London. Running for an entire year, the family-friendly exhibition displays 29 large scale images from Mirozlav Sasek's classic children's book. On public display for the first time in over 50 years, the famous illustrations showcase many London landmarks and represent how much - and how little - the capital has changed since the 1950s. For visitors travelling from outside of London, a number of cheap London hotels can be booked through LondonTown.com.

Celebrating and championing women filmmakers, the Birds Eye View Film Festival returns to London with an eight-day programme of diverse works across a number of venues. Also returning is circus company NoFit State Circus with their new production, Bianco. Taking place at the Roundhouse, the show is performed above, behind and all around the audience to create an all-encompassing, spellbinding concoction of circus, dance and music.

A variety of shows are staged in London this weekend including Pappy's: Last Show Ever, a collection of five-star sketches, songs and silliness from the fine sketch troupe; Project Colony, an immersive, site-specific performance that invites the audiences to play colony inspectors; Arthur's Dream Boat, theatre company Long Nose Puppets take this delightful children's story from page to stage; and Potted Potter, a compilation of puns, parodies and props, along with a madcap game of Quidditch, condenses the entire Harry Potter series into a succinct 70-minute show.

Trafalgar Square will be a flurry of feathers on Saturday with an hour-long pillow fight - London's celebration of World Pillow Fight Day, while those hoping to stay out of the cold can visit Fortnum and Mason's pop up bakery. Running throughout the winter months, the bakery has seen various famous chefs and bakers serve a menu of goodies and host a number of cooking workshops. Now the turn of The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood, visitors will be able to indulge on a number of warming sweet and savoury treats.
