LMS Thinking Improve Processes for Outsourcing in Australia

The Australian BPO Report 2012 shows that up to 65% of Australian businesses engage in some form of business process outsourcing. Sydney-based firm LMS Thinking believes both Australian brands and individuals can benefit from this trend.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, April 26, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Research published by IBM demonstrates that outsourcing is a growing trend in the Australian market. The Australian BPO Report 2012 shows that up to 65% of Australian businesses engage in some form of business process outsourcing. Sydney-based firm LMS Thinking believes both Australian brands and individuals can benefit from this trend.

Outsourcing is the allocation of specific business functions to an independent contractor or company as opposed to an in-house department or employee. LMS Thinking, an outsourced marketing and sales company that expanded into Sydney earlier this year, following success in the UK and US markets explain Outsourcing can either be to contractors in the same country or overseas, where it is known as offshore outsourcing.

Business process outsourcing (BPO) is one of the largest global outsourced sectors; it involves the contracting of specific business functions such as customer service, sales, HR and finance.

Financial advice firm Kreston Dormers reports that as of 2011 Australia was the largest global market for BPO, even ranking above outsourcing giants India and China.

LMS Thinking, Managing Director Tim Kennedy, a native Australian, believes that outsourcing can boost the country's economy: "There is a protectionist idea that outsourcing is the same as offshoring, meaning domestic jobs are lost in favour of cheap labour in other countries. This is a simplistic view and does not take into account Australian-based outsourcing firms. LMS Thinking's goal is to keep jobs in Australia while still maintaining the benefits of outsourcing such as gaining specialised skills and lowering overheads. We provide face to face marketing campaigns as opposed to contact centres or email marketing, so for obvious reasons we can only use Australian suppliers and local contractors."

The benefits of outsourcing to Australian businesses are partly financial, as outsourced contractors both domestic and overseas typically have lower overheads than keeping the work in-house. However LMS Thinking believe that contracting specific business services allows companies to streamline their operating processes and allows them to focus on their core competencies. "After seven years of direct sales experience we can guarantee to our clients that they will receive a specialised service. This frees the business from the time and expense of training their own sales force, and allows them to direct these resources into their own specialism, such as developing new products," says Tim Kennedy of LMS Thinking.

LMS Thinking provides business to business, business to consumer and events marketing campaigns for blue-chip firms. The company plans to expand into further Australian markets by the end of 2013.

About LMS Thinking

Marketing is everything that you do to reach and persuade prospects. The sales process is everything that you do to close the sale and get a signed agreement or contract. Both are necessities to the success of a business. You cannot do without either process. After observing that many businesses allow the two functions to operate as separate entities, LMS Thinking launched a service which collaborates both processes to form a more streamlined communication effort.

By strategically combining both functions LMS Thinking generate a stronger and more effective branding message.
