Vera Wright Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Legal Recruiting

Ms. Wright, who has nearly three decades of experience in the legal recruiting industry, has been the president and owner of Legal Placement Specialists for the past 20 years. The firm, which is based in Raleigh, N.C., is a premier provider of attorney recruitment and placement services. Founded in 1993, the company was the first legal search firm in the Carolinas. In her leadership role, Ms. Wright oversees all daily operations, including business development, client relations and strategic planning. Prior to assuming her current role with Legal Placement Specialists, Ms. Wright held a number of key positions with other leading companies in the legal field, including serving as the director of legal recruiting and associate development for national law firm McGuire Woods and the recruiting coordinator for Maupin Taylor Ellis & Adams, presently Williams Mullen. During her long career, she has earned a reputation for being a driven, results-oriented legal placement specialist with expertise in recruiting and coordinating a network.

Ms. Wright graduated from Hardbarger Business College and took various classes at the University of Virginia and North Carolina State University while working full time and raising two children. An active member of the field, she belongs to professional groups and organizations such as the National Association of Women Business Owners and the National Association of Legal Search Consultants, serving five years on the Board of Directors and as the Ethics Chair. Outside of her professional life, she is a dedicated community member who supports several charitable groups, including Pretty in Pink. In 2012 she volunteered for her political party candidates and has been a dedicated member of the Wolfpack Club for 15 years. During her free time, she enjoys golfing, dancing and singing.
