Alfonso Longo Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in the Cruise Line Industry

    MIAMI, FL, May 8, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alfonso Longo, Senior Director of Marine Safety for Prestige Cruise Holdings, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the cruise line industry.

Prestige Cruise Holdings is the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Formed in 2007 to manage select assets in Apollo Management's cruise investment portfolio, PCH is the market leader in the upper-premium and luxury segments of the cruise industry with nearly 6,500 berths between the Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands. In his role with the company, Mr. Longo handles marine safety and quality assurance protocols, and works closely with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Mr. Longo holds a Master License and has 18 years of industry experience. He graduated from the Maritime Academy in 1994 and joined Prestige Cruise Holdings in 2011. He previously worked as a Marine Safety Manager & Compliance, Lead Auditor and Deck Officer for Carnival Cruise Lines.

Along with family support, Mr. Longo attributes his success to having others believe in him and having a good attitude. Born in Taurianova, Calabria, Italy, Mr. Longo chose a career in the cruise line industry because of his passion for traveling and working at sea.

Mr. Longo is affiliated with Cruise Lines International Association. He enjoys spending time with his family and running. In the years to come, he plans to continue to search out opportunities to help him grow in his career.
