Betsy Dye Kinsella Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year

    COLUMBIA, SC, May 13, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Betsy Dye Kinsella, Chief Executive Officer, President and Owner of Word Systems, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

A graduate of The University of Georgia, Ms. Kinsella holds a Master of Education in special education and learning disabilities. She also holds a B.A. in special education from Brenau University and national board certification in the same area. She has spent 28 years working in the education profession - a feat she has always hoped to achieve.

Ms. Kinsella has always had a heart for helping struggling students, and even after three decades, this remains one of her passions. She now serves as a math instructor for an alternative diploma program for at-risk teens at Richland Northeast High School.

In addition, she is a business owner, a role she took on in November 2012 after her husband suffered a stroke. Ms. Kinsella runs the computer maintenance company known as Word Systems, an enterprise that serves the Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston areas. The company offers competitive rates and maintenance contracts for a variety of brands and devices.

Now heavily immersed in the business world, Ms. Kinsella hopes to eventually retire from the education profession so that she may focus her attention on Word Systems. In the meantime, she keeps abreast of changes in the field of education as a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, National Education Association, and Palmetto State Teachers Association.
