BEAVERCREEK, OH, May 12, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Beavercreek orthodontist Dr. Daniel German recently published a two-part article on how to create images with cone beam volumetric imaging (CBVI). According to Dr. German, "the focus of the article is to outline a 'cookbook' that the clinical orthodontist and staff can implement to create and save the images obtained from 3D scans."
Digital 3D imaging technology has grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade. It is now possible for orthodontists to create visual treatment simulations for orthodontic and orthognathic surgical movements, placement of temporary anchorage devices, prosthodontics replacement of teeth, and also to fabricate appliances using 3D images and models.
The article was published in two parts, in the March and April issues of Orthotown magazine. To view PDF copies of the article's two installments, visit the Published Articles page on http://germanorthodontics.com.
