Delia Mara Pop Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Nonprofit Organization Management

This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Dr. Pop has been instrumental in the development of local groups and nonprofit organizations across 15 countries in central and eastern Europe, as well as Africa, working in partnership with government agencies to reform outdated child care systems. She is currently responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for all international programmes for the nonprofit organization Hope and Homes for Children. An expert in child protection and childcare issues related to de-institutionalisation and community based care, she has extensive experience in change and strategic development in international development, as well as significant experience in fundraising with groups, associations, major and corporate donors, and institutional donors. She previously served as Head of Programmes for Hope and Homes for Children (September 2004- October 2007) and Country Director of Hope and Homes for Children Romania (March 2003- September 2004). She attributes her success to the inspiration she receives from her co-workers and the children she helps.

Dr. Pop received her medical degree from Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. She is an RSA fellow. Looking ahead, she hopes to share her expertise and understanding of the challenges faced by children to become a stronger advocate for children with disabilities.
