Andrea L. Charters Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Corporate Law

    MCLEAN, VA, May 16, Andrea L. Charters, Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Rosetta Stone Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in corporate law.

Ms. Charters has 19 years of experience in the legal profession. Her areas of expertise include corporate finance, securities law and intellectual property. Currently, she serves as a legal advisor to the executive team of Rosetta Stone, a learning technology company based in Virginia. In addition to providing counsel on the legal ramifications of business strategies, she represents the company on policy and governmental councils. She also works in securities law and advises on product launches.

Ms. Charters began her career as an associate at Bingham McCutchen, where she specialized in finance and regulatory practice. She also practiced law at Blitz, Bardgett & Deutsch and Danna McKitrick and taught international business law at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Directly prior to joining the legal team at Rosetta Stone, she was assistant general counsel at The Fairchild Corporation. In this capacity, she negotiated numerous corporate transactions.

Ms. Charters graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, and she has a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Yale University. She is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, where she is the annual meeting program chair for the Corporate & Securities Law Committee, and the Washington, D.C., branches of the Harvard and Yale clubs. In addition, she serves as an advisory board member for the 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ --SuperConference of InsideCounsel. Away from work, Ms. Charters volunteers with the Rotary Club of Rossslyn-Fort Myer and also enjoys hiking, traveling and attending school alumni events.
