Richard J. Gimbl, Sr. Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Emergency Preparedness

    HOLBROOK, NY, May 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard Gimbl, President of Coastal Recovery Consultants, Inc., was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Mr. Gimbl has 43 years of experience in emergency services, having recently become president of Coastal Recovery Consultants, Inc. As an emergency management expert, he provides much-needed answers and assistance to people with FEMA claims for past storms and Superstorm Sandy in order to help them get the most bang for their buck. He wrote the first FEMA approved Debris Management Plan in New York State. Aside from that, he also lectures at businesses regarding different disasters including power outages. His goal is to encourage business leaders to develop contingency plans so that a natural disaster like Superstorm Sandy need not be as devastating in the future.

Mr. Gimbl attributes his success to his work in emergency management. He is very proud of being hired by communities he's dealt with. He became involved in this profession because of his desire to help people and especially businesses. He enjoys sharing his experience with businesses, and helping them develop contingency plans and disaster preparedness plans.

Mr. Gimbl is a Board Member of the Association of Contingency Planners, as well as a former president of the Islip Town Fire Chiefs Council, and a former Suffolk County commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America. In honor of his achievements, he was named as a Most Valuable Player on Long Island by the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners. He also received a Council Good Deed Award in 2009, and a New York State Firefighter of the Year award in 2006. In years to come, Mr. Gimbl would like to gain recognition for helping communities and the private sector. He hopes to let business owners know that it's important to have contingency plans in place for their businesses.
