Dennis M. O'Connell Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Engineering

    NEW YORK, NY, May 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dennis M. O'Connell, Engineer and President of O&M Engineering, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.

O&M is an engineering and a metal fabrication contracting company that specializes in rebuilding, retrofitting and repairs of major infrastructures. The firm also custom designs and fabricates specialized building components. Mr. O'Connell's family has been in the engineering and metal fabrication business for 12 years under the name O&M Engineering.

Mr. O'Connell has 12 years of experience in engineering, with six years as president of O&M Engineering. His areas of expertise include construction management, CAD, AutoCAD and value engineering. He is also highly skilled at organization and training. At O&M Engineering, Mr. O'Connell oversees daily business operations, hires employees, purchases equipment and negotiates contracts. He also provides quotes, markets the company and offers engineering consulting services.

One of Mr. O'Connell's accomplishments includes the reconstruction of the World Trade Center. During that project, he and his team rebuilt the structural concrete forms for Doka USA, a concrete from the contractor. He also worked on the Hurricane Sandy power generation relief project for gas stations throughout New Jersey and New York. Working with major projects, Mr. O'Connell attributes his success to his hard work, his education and the support of his family.

Registered by ASME, Mr. O'Connell attended Manhattan College in the field of mechanical engineering. His other educational credits include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Chemistry from Caldwell College, and a degree in advanced welding and machining from Hunterdon County Polytechnic Institute. Outside of the family business, Mr. O'Connell enjoys spending time with his four dogs, wakeboarding, skiing and hiking. He also volunteers with the Toys for Tots Foundation and Locks of Love. In the years to come, Mr. O'Connell hopes to double the sales volume and grow within the company.
